There are certain things that you don’t get to do when you’re the President. The reason is because of the security detail. You don’t get to go grocery shopping or head into McDonald’s for a Big Mac (unless you’re Bill Clinton). And you most certainly aren’t expected to cast your ballot in person.
Yet, Joe Biden cast his ballot in person as if to show everyone what it looks like to be a model citizen.
There’s just one problem. Biden casting his ballot cost taxpayers an absolute fortune. And here’s why.
Biden is registered to vote in Delaware. So, he had to fly there. And that means employing Air Force One to go from DC to Delaware. Once on the ground, two motorcades were required along with local police protection. And that doesn’t even count the cost of the Secret Service agents that were needed to escort him into the polling station and out.
The average president will file an absentee ballot so that they don’t have to deal with the cost of flying to their home state.
This is just proof that Biden has no sense of what it costs. And he doesn’t care if it costs a fortune – he just wanted to be able to tell reporters to “vote.”
What did this actually cost? It’s hard to say. However, the Air Force revealed several years ago that the average cost to fly the Presidential Boeing 747 was about $206,337. Bloomberg reported that Biden took the smaller version, the 757, to Delaware, so it would be a bit less.
Some estimate that whenever the president goes anywhere, the cost is about $2600 per minute.
How long do you think it took the 79-year-old to board AF1, fly to Delaware, walk into a poll, cast his vote, walk out of the polling center, board AF1 again, and return to DC? At least a few hours.
And it’s not like he went alone. His wife went with him – so go ahead and double the cost of the security detail.
Could that money have been better spent? Of course. There are THOUSANDS of things Biden could have done with that money instead of going to vote in person.
And when Fox News Digital asked the White House why he decided to vote in person, they had no comment. They also didn’t want to wager a guess on what it cost the taxpayers.
Joe Biden isn’t even able to say “other presidents have voted in person” because that would be a lie. President Obama voted absentee in both 2010 and 2014 for the Illinois Democratic Primaries. And President Trump voted absentee in both the 2018 and 2020 general elections. Why? It is the fiscally responsible thing to do.
As much as the Democrats loved to share the amount of time Trump spent golfing, it’s not even a splash in the water compared to the days that Biden has spent out of the White House.
It’s as if Biden will use any excuse he can think of to get out of DC. He’s visited Delaware frequently – and he’s spent over 170 days at his beach house since taking office last January.
RNC Research published that he’s spent 40% of his presidency on vacation.
President Biden is a complete and utter joke. He wastes money to tell people to go vote when he could have easily done that from within the Oval Office. It’s just another way that he shows that he’s not really thinking about the American people. His actions tell us everything we need to know.
