Looking down the barrel of a leftist gun, former President Donald Trump is rather assured of reactions from the American people should he be convicted. With an almost John Gotti-like smugness to his defiance, he believes that his legions of supporters will create problems should he be convicted. Given the accusations of his handling of classified documents, it seems rather possible it could be seen.
Speaking with conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt, Trump made it incredibly obvious that he was surprised that he was even having to have this conversation, and that he believed he should be in the clear due to being a former President and based on what Obama had done.
“I think if it happened, I think you’d have problems in this country the likes of which perhaps we’ve never seen before. I don’t think the people of the United States would stand for it.” When pushed for a better explanation, all he would say was “I think they’d have big problems. Big problems. I just don’t think they’d stand for it. They will not sit still and stand for this ultimate of hoaxes.”
This kind of mindset is great for him to have, and it inspires the American people to stand up for what they believe is right as well as for their rights. Given how weak and unable to move out of their own way the Democrats want the American people to be, this polar opposite stance of Trump’s is exactly the kind of inspiration the country needs.
He’s not alone in thinking the American people could riot should he be convicted. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has already alluded to Americans taking to the streets even if they start prosecuting him, much less convicting him.
In response to the Republicans, many of the left have already tried claiming that the people are being incited. Never mind that in the eyes of the left those “peaceful protestors” we have seen over the last few years do nothing wrong, and instead, they should be praised for taking their message to the streets.
This flip-flop in policy is disgusting, but not unexpected from the Democrats. What’s horrible for the right is a beautiful thing for the left and vice versa. This is just politics 101, and they are running the playbook perfectly and down to the letter.
On September 15th, senior FBI and DHS officials briefed members of the Senate Judiciary and Homeland Security committees on Capitol Hill about the recent rise in threats against federal law enforcement. While the briefers did not pinpoint parties, types of threats, or communication methods, they said that the trends were obvious.
Senate Judiciary Chair Dick Durbin (D-IL) spoke out after the briefing about how surprised he was with the findings. While admitting that he saw no trends in the reports, he feels that politics has become an unsafe environment, the American people are acting out, and that this is an attempt at making the insurrection of January 6th seem like child’s play.
On the other side of the coin, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) believes that the answer is to arm the people with more information about the events of the raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. The less the American people know, the more dangerous it becomes in his eyes. He’s not wrong either. This kind of ambiguity is something the left has been hiding behind.
Between the Epstein case and his “suicide” and now the push to go after Trump, the left has been showing the roots of just how evil they are. Instead of trying to unite the American people by releasing the lists from the Epstein case, they put a gag over the whole thing and ensured the American people were kept in the dark. They are doing the same thing in the Trump case, and the American people won’t stand for that twice in a lifetime.
