Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) had some harsh words for President Joe Biden while interviewing on Sunday. The Florida senator focused on the controversial handling of the Chinese spy balloon that flew off the United States during the last few days.

Jake Tapper from CNN was interviewing Sen. Rubio on the “State of the Union” program. Rubio said that the American people deserved answers about why it took the administration so long to disclose the spy balloon’s presence over U.S. territory.

“I think what’s embedded here is a clear message. It’s not a coincidence that this happens leading up to the State of the Union address, leading up to [Secretary of State Antony] Blinken’s visit to China,” Rubio said. “The Chinese knew that this was going to be spotted. They knew that we were going to have to react to it. They flew it over military installations and sensitive sites across — right across the middle. I mean, look at the flight path of this thing. It’s a diagonal shot right through the middle of the continental United States.”

The crux of the interview was how Sen. Rubio declared that there was a message embedded in this for the world. China wanted the globe to know that they can fly a balloon over the airspace of the United States of America and they won’t do anything to stop them.

Rubio believes that the Chinese calculated this very carefully so that they were a message embedded into the process. He said America should not forget that and that they should not believe that this was just about a balloon.

This was a message sent to the world that China can do whatever they want and America can’t stop them.

Sen. Rubio is not alone; there is a growing group of Republican leaders that are experiencing outrage due to Biden’s inept handling of this event.
