If you know anything about Hillary Clinton, it’s likely that along with constantly failing, she’s also continually blaming others, even her own party members, for those failings. Of course, those instances have waned a bit in recent years, as her lack of limelight and increasing age have undoubtedly made her a little less robust.
But have no fear; given the chance, Hillary rarely disappoints.
She certainly didn’t this past weekend when she practically threw Democratic President Joe Biden under the bus.
It happened on Saturday during her appearance at the Financial Times Weekend Festival in Washington, DC. As usual, the conversation turned to politics and the upcoming 2024 presidential election. And just as naturally, Biden’s age was brought up, with Financial Times editor Edward Luce asking Hillary if Biden’s age and, subsequently, weakness is a growing “concern.”
Most Democrats wouldn’t have hesitated to say no, insisting that Joe is in good health for his age and is doing a hell of a job as commander-in-chief.
But as we all know, Hillary is not like most Democrats.
Instead, she unabashedly said, “Well, I mean, it’s a concern for anyone. And we’ve had presidents who’ve fallen before who are a lot younger, and people didn’t go into heart palpitations.”
She added that his age is most definitely “an issue” and that “people have every right to consider it.”
Well, for once, I agree with her. His age is most definitely a concern.
I mean, this is a man who just tripped down the stairs again, which is what prompted this conversation. He’s also prone to forgetting the names of those in his inner circle and even where he’s at or what he should be doing.
None of that makes us confident, either in his ability to lead the nation or even to travel safely from one-floor level to another.
Of course, right after this, Hillary complimented Biden a bit, saying that he has “a good record” for the last three years and that she didn’t think he’d yet received the credit for that “he deserves.” She also stated that since he’s not “running against the Almighty,” he can win reelection.
And that’s where she loses everyone on the crazy train again…
