The eight-person group of communists in the House of Representatives, led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), has spent a collective $1.2 million on private, gun-toting personal security since 2019. All of the funds were donated to their campaigns by voters. Yet while they are hiring seasoned teams of gunmen to provide around-the-clock security for themselves, the Squad has been calling for Americans to have less police protection in their own communities.

Here are the amounts of donated campaign cash that each member of the Squad has spent to pay for hired guns to protect them:

Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO): $736,748
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY): $272,914
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN): $125,683
Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA): $64,763
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI): $20,480
Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY): $7,872
Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX): $1,570
Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA): No disclosures yet

This is not to say that Summer Lee has not spent donor cash to hire personal protection for herself. She just hasn’t filed the paperwork yet, so it’s not a matter of public record at this time.

Pause for a second to ponder the fact that Cori Bush has spent $736,000+ for personal armed security on herself. It’s no wonder since her home district is a crime-ridden hellhole, where she is likely to be robbed, beaten, raped, or murdered on any given day while traveling to work. Her home district in St. Louis could put 10 more cops on the streets with what she’s paid out just to protect herself.

It’s not as if they are hiring ideological partners to protect them, either. Cori Bush has hired Peace Security in St. Louis to guard her life. Peace Security is a right-wing, pro-gun, Second Amendment advocacy firm with solid conservative gunfighters on the payroll. It’s always the same with communists: Security for me, but not for thee.
