This story should help to illustrate just how much of a dump American cities have become after being ruled over by Democrats for too many years. An FBI agent was carjacked at gunpoint last Wednesday on Capitol Hill, in broad daylight. It looks like the minority criminals have received the message from D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. The laws will simply not be enforced against you, so long as you have the correct skin color. How else would you explain thieves becoming so brazen that they would steal an FBI agent’s car at gunpoint?
The FBI has confirmed that the crime took place. The borough has launched an investigation in conjunction with the DC Metro Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force. Yes, crime has gotten so bad in the nation’s capital that they now have a Carjacking Task Force.
The only thing that the FBI would say about the incident was this official statement:
“At this time, we can confirm that an FBI employee was carjacked on the afternoon of November 29. The vehicle was recovered, and the FBI Washington Field Office and the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force are investigating.”
The D.C. Police received a distress call about a carjacking at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. The call came from 12th Street NE, near Lincoln Park and just 12 blocks away from the US Supreme Court. The FBI agent told police that two suspects stole his vehicle at gunpoint. The vehicle was located undamaged just 25 minutes later in Southeast DC. Police are refusing to release any details about what the suspects look like, which means they are definitely black.
Liberal politicians seem to believe that they are always immune to the terrible policy decisions they make, but that’s clearly not true. This is far from the first crime perpetrated against a federal employee this year. There has been a string of attacks and crimes committed against Members of Congress and their staffers within just the past few months.
Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) was carjacked by three men carrying guns in October, as he was parking his car at his apartment complex. An unidentified staffer working for Rep. Brad Finstad (R-MN) was attacked at gunpoint right as he got home from the congressional baseball game in June.
A staffer who works for Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was brutally stabbed on the streets in a random attack that nearly killed him. Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) was attacked in the elevator in her apartment building. A man told her he was going to come into her apartment to use her bathroom. When she refused, he punched her in the face and grabbed her by the throat. She escaped after throwing a cup of hot coffee in his face.
Another congressional staffer was beaten with an aluminum baseball bat in the Northern Virginia offices of Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA). An immigrant—possibly an illegal alien—named Xuan-Kha Tran Pham walked into the office and clubbed the woman in the head with a bat. He struck an intern in the ribs and then proceeded to beat the first woman on the ground. A postal worker chased him away. He was charged with four felonies initially, but liberal prosecutors dropped three of the charges.
Plus, Secret Service agents opened fire on three suspects last Sunday night as they were trying to break into an unmarked car used to escort Hunter Biden’s daughter.
It’s only a matter of time before a Representative or Senator gets killed on the streets of D.C. Maybe that will make the Democrats finally wise up to the importance of funding the police.
