Now That Biden is Out, DOJ Says It Has Transcripts From His Classified Documents Investigation

Now that Biden has dropped out of the race for his declining health, the Justice Department has “found” more damning transcripts from his classified documents investigation.

Former special counsel Robert Hur’s report on Biden’s mishandling of classified documents was chilling. He concluded that Biden could not be charged with having the documents, not because he was innocent, but because his declining mental health would not allow him to be prosecuted.

Hur called the world’s most powerful leader a ” sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

According to Hur’s report, it was clear that jurors would feel sorry for Biden. Convincing a jury to convict him of an intentional crime would be challenging.

Hur’s words ignited a firestorm. Lawmakers finally had written proof of what they had known for years. President Joe Biden is unfit to lead the country.

But the transcripts were needed for a House investigation. The proof remained tantalizingly out of reach, blocked by the Department of Justice’s insistence that they didn’t have transcripts to back up Hur’s claim.

The DOJ lawyers said turning audio recordings of Biden’s talks with his biographer, Mark Zwonitzer, into written transcripts would be “too time-consuming.” Zwonitzer is a biographer who worked with Biden in 2007 and 2017 to create a book of memoirs.

In May, the White House said it had the right to keep the audio and video recordings private, including those from Biden’s interviews with Zwonitzer. Attorney General Merrick Garland wrote a letter to Biden, saying that sharing these recordings with the Committees could harm future investigations.

The White House invoked the same special privilege they want to abolish for Trump.

One day after Biden announced he was stepping aside, the DOJ revealed that it “found” 117 pages of these transcripts. According to a court filing reviewed by Fox News Digital, these pages seemed to be exact copies of parts of the audio recordings made by a court-reporting service for the Special Counsel’s Office.

It was also revealed that the DOJ was in no hurry to find the transcripts in the first place. While handling requests for information about the Hur report, DOJ officials tried to get help from someone who knew about them. This person was unable to provide any information about them.

Although the DOJ initially avoided asking Hur directly about the documents he used for his final report, they eventually did contact him for that information.

Hur immediately cooperated, saying he used the Biden-Zwonitzer transcripts and a handwritten note by Biden about Afghanistan to help write his final report. The content of Biden’s handwritten note related to Afghanistan hasn’t been released.

In May, the DOJ faced heavy criticism for its refusal to cooperate with House Republicans. The DOJ wouldn’t release the tapes even after advocacy groups like the Heritage Foundation filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

The DOJ slow-walked the big reveal, stating in May that the tapes would be released in August.

While some transcripts were released, the DOJ clung tightly to the audio tapes.

The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project joined Judicial Watch and CNN to request the recordings.

A federal court order sided with the advocacy groups and said the DOJ needed to expedite the timeline.

The DOJ promptly refused to hand over the audiotapes and maintained its claim that it did not have Biden-Zwonitzer transcripts.

Now that Biden is out of the running for re-election, the DOJ has found transcripts it claims it never had. The documents just appeared out of nowhere, a true July miracle.

Is it possible that the DOJ will release those tapes to help Republicans invoke the 25th amendment and remove Biden from his presidency?

If that happens, Vice President Kamala Harris will be able to step in and finish out his first term. This allows her to be seen under the national spotlight, possibly garnering support if she plays the game well enough.

For a party that has turned its back on Biden, these tapes and transcripts could solve a problem that will not go away.
