Even as the Democrats try to drown former President Donald Trump in various forms of trials, lawsuits, and litigation, he has been standing strong and defiantly. Now Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing a criminal case of Trump’s in Manhattan, has slapped him with a gag order seemingly out of nowhere.
Issued by the New York State Supreme Court for New York County, the county trial court, it bars Trump from talking publicly about the staff of the court, and district attorneys, witnesses, and counsel in the case. However, one glaring exemption from that order is New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg. It also specifically includes family members of the court staff as well as Bragg’s staff.
This came just hours after Trump went to Truth Social to take exception with Merchan and his daughter following the scheduling of his court case for April 15th.
“Judge Juan Merchan, a very distinguished looking man, is nevertheless a true and certified Trump Hater who suffers from a very serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. In other words, he hates me! His daughter is a senior executive at a Super Liberal Democrat firm that works for Adam “Shifty” Schiff, the Democrat National Committee, (Dem)Senate Majority PAC, and even Crooked Joe Biden.”
His post went on to call out Merchan for going after an elderly employee of Trump in an unrelated case. He alleges the judge threatened the senior with 15 years if he didn’t give up the goods on The Donald, and they claim that he lied about it. Even after he took a plea and spent four months at Rikers.

Given the level of aggression and the choice to cite the Jan 6th gag order put on Trump in another court, it doesn’t seem likely the former President is walking into a fair trial. Then again, nothing else about this campaign has been fair for Trump, so why should he expect different now?
