Gov. Maura Healey (D-MA) is at her wit’s end with the influx of illegal immigrants. Despite there being no “Sanctuary State” laws on the books, enough counties, cities, and villages have enacted them. These historically useless acts of virtue signaling have had their chips called by Republican leaders who find their state resources stretched to the limits, and their people ready to break from all the illegals.
Receiving over 6,000 illegals who are now under the state’s care, many of these illegals were promised jobs and opportunities when they came here. When sent to MA, they found a loophole around the system here at the border states, and it’s a loophole that allows them to get what they want much easier than without it.
In a statement, Healey expressed gratitude for the NG doing the dirty work of her virtue signaling.
“Massachusetts is in a state of emergency, and we need all hands on deck to meet this moment and ensure families have access to safe shelter and basic services. We’re grateful to the brave men and women of the National Guard for stepping up to help us ensure that every family in emergency shelter has their needs met, including access to food, transportation, medical care, and education. While we work to implement a more permanent staffing solution, the National Guard will provide an efficient and effective means of delivering these services and keeping everybody safe.”
Back on August 8th, she sent Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas a letter pleading for urgent help. In her eyes, the state had reached a critical point and needed some severe help to overcome the problems they made for themselves.
First having her chips called back in mid-September 2022, she found the tourist and billionaire destination Martha’s Vineyard suddenly taking in 50 illegals. Delivered from Texas compliments of Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), the residents moved to take them in but kept their distance to not dirty their clothes. Their disgusted reactions meant that they had to be moved and that they were. Less than 48 hours after arriving, they were on their way to Joint Base Cape Cod.
Putting things in perspective, the southern border states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California recorded over 130,000 encounters with illegal immigrants on the US-Mexico border in July. That number swelled significantly from 90,000 in June.
Numbers like this aren’t anything new for these states. Given the changes in immigration law, a lack of funding for Border Patrol and the Department of Homeland Security along the border, and suddenly it becomes a tremendous problem for all resources.
For these border states with GOP leadership, they are willing to stand up and try something new. Especially Texas. Given the gang violence in Juarez, Mexico, and its propensity to spill across the border into El Paso in small segments, it becomes a recipe for disaster.
Governor Healey’s inability to deal with the problem and needing to call in the National Guard is the only honorable thing she has done in this situation. Given the number of troops in their ranks who have been part of humanitarian missions across the globe, they know what they need to do, and how to make it happen. They don’t wait for step-by-step guidance; they instead just go out and execute the standards to a T.
The American people deserve leadership who will take charge and stand up against these illegals trying to take over the nation. We have spent far too long building up this country to simply hand it over to the illegals and other countries.
Yet that seems to be exactly what Biden wants to do. He is more than happy to sign back and watch the world burn as we are overrun. Shame on him and the rest of these “sanctuary” traitors. There is a right way to come here, and it’s about damn time they realize that.
